Anicinabe Artistic Tour
MADAMIKANA
This artistic mediation project celebrates the age-old presence of the Anicinabek on their ancestral territory through six permanent, vibrant works, nourished by the stories of the elders and the archives of the Anicinabe Nation, are marking the territory of Abitibi-Témiscamingue. Each work, like a star, is part of a living constellation and an invitation to explore the territory differently, to renew links between peoples.
After the NIN, Je suis, I am exhibition toured Anicinabek communities in 2022, Minwashin decided to completely renew the exhibition in order to present it in a museum context.
This museum version, simply titled NIN, keep the same goal: make Anicinabemowin visible by celebrating its strength and beauty. With a wealth of new creations, the NIN exhibition opens up to new audiences and invites new meetings.
